For more than 35 years, Prairie Creek Food Bank has been run entirely by volunteers who believe in showing up for one another. Every dollar and every hour you give turns directly into meals for families down the road.

In 1987, a handful of Prairie Creek families set up folding tables in a church basement to make sure no one in the county went without dinner. That grassroots spirit still runs everything we do.
We remain 100% volunteer-run, which means the vast majority of what you give goes straight to groceries, backpacks, and holiday meals — not overhead.

Three ways we feed the county
Hunger doesn't look the same for everyone, so we meet families where they are — week to week, at school, and around the holidays.
Fresh produce, pantry staples, and protein handed out every week to any household in Prairie Creek and the surrounding county — no questions that shame, just help that lasts.
Every Friday, kids at risk of a hungry weekend take home a backpack of easy, kid-friendly meals so they return to class Monday ready to learn.
Each November and December, we assemble complete holiday meal boxes so families can gather around a full table when it matters most.
