Feeding Prairie Creek since 1987

Every dollar and every hour goes straight to a neighbor's table

We're a volunteer-run food bank serving Prairie Creek and the surrounding county. Whether you give online or claim a shift, you're feeding local families this week — not someday, now.

Our Mission

Local food, local hands, local impact

For more than three decades, neighbors have shown up for neighbors here in Prairie Creek. We're run entirely by volunteers, which means the support you offer goes as far as it possibly can.

Last year alone, we distributed groceries to thousands of households across the county — no red tape, no judgment, just food for people who need it.

Our Programs

Three ways we feed the community

Your gifts and hours power each of these programs directly. Here's where the help goes.

Weekly Grocery Distribution

Fresh produce, pantry staples, and proteins handed out every week to families across Prairie Creek and the county.

School Backpack Program

Kids who rely on school meals go home Fridays with a backpack of food, so weekends never mean an empty stomach.

Holiday Meal Boxes

Complete holiday dinners for hundreds of households, so every family in our community can gather around a full table.

Ways to Give

Your donation starts here

Giving takes two minutes and feeds real families this week. A one-time gift or a monthly commitment both stretch a long way when there's no overhead eating into it.

$25 fills a family's grocery box. $50 sends backpacks home with two kids all month. $100 covers a holiday meal for a household.

Claim a volunteer shift

We're volunteer-run, which means people like you are the food bank. Sort and pack groceries, stock shelves, greet families, or help load cars — shifts are flexible and fit around your week.

No experience needed. Come once or come every week. Either way, you'll leave knowing you fed someone.

  • Weekday and weekend shifts
  • Great for groups and families
  • Training provided on-site

You should know where it goes

Because we run on volunteers, the vast majority of every gift converts directly into food and services for local families. We keep our books open and our reporting honest.

Have a question about how your donation is used? Ask us anything — we'd rather answer clearly than leave you guessing.

Two ways, one goal

Feed a family this week

Give a gift or claim a shift — both start right here, and both put food on a neighbor's table before the week is out.
